Developed in The Department of Electronic & Electrical Engineering, ERIC is a multi-purpose robotic teaching, CPD, outreach and demonstration cell. It supports faculty teaching activities through the new EEE Advanced Industrial Robotics Course, and engages youth, public and businesses with the leading automation, robotic and sensing work being undertaken in the University.
ERIC was funded through a collaborative venture consisting of University of Strathclyde, CUE, the EPSRC Impact Acceleration Account, the IUK funded VIEWS project, and KUKA Robotics UK. It demonstrates the concepts behind Strathclyde research with partners including SPIRIT AeroSystems, National Nuclear Laboratory, KUKA Robotics UK, Silverwing NDT and Eddyfi.
